Anu School Of Art & Design Textiles Workshop Description

Textiles is one of the most exciting and diverse areas of contemporary practice, embracing new technologies, opportunities and career paths. The Textiles Workshop provides undergraduate and graduate courses, aiming to equip students with a range of practical, critical, and research skills while preparing them for careers as professional artists /designers and work in related fields.

The Workshop promotes a creative and innovative approach within a contemporary context through the expertise of its staff, well equipped studio, seminars, excursions and visits to galleries, design studios and museums. The program encourages students to connect with their professional field and develop skills for their future careers.

The Textiles Workshop at the ANU School of Art is a light and airy space with areas dedicated to print, dye, weave and tapestry. The studio is well equipped for hand and computer aided production of textiles, individual workspaces, areas to display work and for group seminars and workshops. It is a short walk from the city centre and near all the ANU facilities and student accommodation.
