Seriously messed this one up!!

Hell Yeah!!

48 hours, 48days.. some have been here 48 months and still have not done all this!

Where to Start?

myself and a friend stopped in this hostel for a few continuous months.

here is a list of grievances .



the wifi was dreadful and used by guests playing shit games



urinal on forth floor was blocked for 3 weeks



air conditioning constantly broke even when it was 40 degrees outside



lift broke often



HEINZ baked beans were stolen from fridge bag



carpets were minging and smelt



walls needed more than a few licks of paint



kebab house next door was amazing but didn't wanna smell it 24/7 in the corridors



bed sheets got folded up and not changed



lockers didn't work



door keys constantly broke and when your on 7th floor and lift doesn't walk it's a long walk with no air conditioning



$1 water was not cold like advertised



roommates didn't wash



roommates unplugged lights for chargers



someone kept stealing forks from the kitchen- maybe the caravan guy waiting for insurance payout?



brazilian top model isn't appropriate tv



german sharing beds not paying full price



trivoski should have been on tap



scousers stole signs and shopping baskets



spelt like drugs throughout



dryers and washing machines stole money and didn't work



chinese checking in at 2am with loud suitcases zips



guy left weird instruments on bed in public display



receptionist drinking beer on shift



weird room with loads of chinese in...used to be common room on 7th floor??



shower pressure poor



cleaners were shit didn't do a decent job



no toilet seats on floor 4



some backpackers brought in pop up wardrobe

someone complained at my locker having alcohol and crisps in, if lockers had of worked my personal belongings would have been safe



backpackers brought own bedding and sleeping bags due to bad hygiene



fridges were not cleaned out on the days they were suppose too



loud music in kitchen at 8:54pm on a saturday night



The kitchen utensils such as pots and pans were in a dreadful state



people performing sexual acts in the toilets leading to queues

Very good hostel. Good rooms. Good cleaning every day. Good atmosphere. No unpayed wifi in rooms but in kitchen. Kitchen big but heaters are slow. Stuff is nice and gives his best to clean the uncleaned dishes. Best hostel in Sydney!

The room was okay. just average. wifi didn't work with system error.

I have stayed here a few times now and was never disappointed. Rooms are clean and usually quite on weeknights. A lot of people staying here are long-term working backpackers and have 9-5 jobs. Defo a good place to stay for what you pay for. :)

Good thing: cheap, good staff
Bad things: cramped rooms, 2 showers per floor per gender, wifi free only in the kitchen (elsewhere you have to pay for it)

Nice staff and decent rooms. Cleaned regularly and good price.
Internet amongst the best I've had in a Sydney hostel.

Stayed for 3 nights. Absolutely wonderful service, everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful! Rooms were relatively small but comfortable, towels and blankets were all provided, and the bathrooms and kitchen was clean. Incredibly close to Central station, Darling Harbour, and is right in the middle of some great restaurants and shopping. Definitely loved my experience there and would recommend them to anyone!

Sorry but really did not enjoy our time here, we are backpacking round Australia at the moment and up to now this has been the worst hostel we have come across. Loud interuptions all night long, got a rash from the bedding, poor facilities, run down and old and staff that just weren't interested. Only good thing is the price.

Rather clean facilities. Very slow elevator. Perfect location.

A very basic hostel, needs a good refurbishment. Staff were nice, but the whole hostel had a very work-minded feel, wouldn't recommend for party goers.

Bed Bugs!!!

Stayed for 1 night. Im not a backpacker, I hadn't been to any other hostels so I didn't bring them with me. I was reading in bed and saw two tiny bed bugs which I instantly killed. But woke up covered in bites. And you know they're bed bigs when they bite in a line. I have about 20 bites in total.

Otherwise the staff were friendly and the place was relatively quiet other then some street noise. Would not stay here again based off of the bed bugs. Had there not been bugs I would have rated a 3star as far as hostels go.
