This Tuesday 7th of August, we were joined by Mr Maurice Cheong who is the Head of Education at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Maurice had a discussion regarding the challenges that the future Accountants may face and some solutions which ACCA might be able to offer to combat this. Mr Cheong went on to explain the implications from the rise of automation and how prospective accountants will need a different set of skills such as networking and connecting with others which is more than the technical skills usually associated with the profession.
Thank you to Maurice and all the students who attended this informative discussion!
