The first use of hypnotherapy to help people stop smoking was described by Dr. Herbert Spiegel in a 1970 journal article. His hypnotic strategy has become known as the "Spiegel technique" and involves concentration on three main ideas:
*Smoking is poisonous to your body. *You need your body if you want to live. *If you want to live, you need to respect and protect your body.🚬🚬🚬

Your hypnotherapist will suggest that smokers associate cigarettes with unpleasant tastes, odours, or sensations — for instance, that cigarette smoke smells like bus fumes, that the smoke has a nasty taste, or that it will cause you to suffer from dry mouth. We might also suggest that smokers believe that they have lost the desire to smoke and can easily cope with their nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

Lesson #386 Sadness does not come to punish you, or reveal to you what a ‘spiritual failure’ you are. Sadness is not a sign that you are unevolved or far from healing, awakening, enlightenment, even peace.
The presence of sadness is not an indication that you’ve done something wrong.
... Sadness only whispers, “May I come in? I am tired, I long for rest”.
And you reply, “But sadness, I don’t know how to allow you in!”
And sadness replies, “It’s okay. You don’t need to know. I’m already in”.
And we bow to sadness then, we recognise how it’s already allowed in, how there’s enough room in us for sadness, how we are not ‘the sad one’, not contained within sadness, but the room for sadness, it's space, it's home, it's salvation, its loving embrace; not as a goal, but as our nature – consciousness itself, already free. Don’t heal yourself from sadness; let sadness heal you.
Let it show you the way when you have forgotten. Let it reveal to you the mysteries of love. Let it remind you of your vast heart, your refusal to split off from any part of your ancient Self, that bigger Happiness you danced when you were young.

... There are no such things as coincidences, you were meant to meet that person, to travel to that place and to go through that experience.
Situations happen to teach you a spiritual lesson, and to make you a stronger person.
True spiritual masters know that it is not situation that is the problem, but it is your reaction to the problem that is the problem!
Once you realize that nothing ‘out there’ can ever harm your infinite spiritual nature, then you will be able to see problems as blessings, and an opportunity to evolve and grow.

Self-esteem is your opinion of yourself.
People with healthy self-esteem like themselves and value their achievements. 🎖️🏆🏅
While everyone lacks confidence occasionally, people with low self-esteem feel unhappy or unsatisfied with themselves most of the time.
... This can be remedied but it takes attention and daily practise to boost self-esteem.
DO YOU:
Become extremely critical of yourself?😞
Downplay or ignore your positive qualities?😦
Judge yourself to be inferior to your peers?😥
Use negative words to describe yourself such as stupid, fat, ugly or unlovable?😔😪
Have discussions with yourself (this is called ‘self talk’) that are always negative, critical and self blaming?
Assume that luck plays a large role in all your achievements and doesn’t take the credit for them?
Blame yourself when things go wrong instead of taking into account other things over which they have no control such as the actions of other people or economic forces?
Not believe a person who compliments you?😘

Hi Al, OH MY GOODNESS! So today I was moving furniture around and doing a clean up and clean out (so different for me) and my OCD is gone!!!!! Usually I can’t have any different furniture apart from the matching stuff around and I have a dark brown bed suit! Well... today I put white shelves and a white clothes hanger in there and I didn’t even second think it I just done it!

After seeing you I feel like I can breath! I’ve always felt so dark and nasty but I’m loving myself sick lol! I actually went down the street by myself, went and got my nails done 10 minutes away (I never drive by myself) AND didn’t feel sick and anxious! Who is this woman I am?!? Thanks to you I feel normal! I cannot thank you enough! Oxoxox
