Our head chef, Joel Bickford has just returned from an amazing collaboration at NZ restaurant Euro Bar & Restaurant with Gareth Stewart Adam Rickett, showing the Kiwis what Aria is all about.

Congratulations to the whole Aria Sydney team on being named in Gourmet Traveller's top 100 Australian restaurants for 2019.
A huge achievement, and what a privilege to be in the company of such incredible restaurants.

We’ve collaborated Maggie Beer & Opera Australia to create a dessert to mark the debut performance of internationally acclaimed Australian soprano Jessica Pratt at Sydney Opera House, in the lead role in Lucia di Lammermoor. The dessert ‘La Dolce Jessica’ is available on the pre-theatre menu from today for the duration of the performance.

This is a tourist restaurant; very overrated for what you get. The portions were small, even for fine dining, and some were delicious, some were not. The martinis were tiny, and when my mother noted this to the waiter (my mother never, EVER complains about anything, and she has had fine dining all over the world) he told her in a snooty French accent that this is how they were served. Poor attitude when you're spending over 1,000 dollars for dinner for four people.

Have been to many fine dinning in Sydney, but the nice service in Aria really impressed me! Every staff ( literally EVERY staff) was smiling to us, and clearly introduce and describe the dishes. Well, in terms of the food, my friend was quite unsatisfied with the snapper, oyster and beef steak. However, my lamb loin is not too bad. I saw someone recommended the popcorn cheesecake on Google Map, but some of the corns are even too hard to eat( I mean it’s not fully cooked), and the cheesecake itself is not appealing either. The Japanese style grapefruit cocktail is quite nice.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Services were excellent from waiters and waitresses. Food was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed very much. The reason I gave four stars is because of the hostress at the front desk wasn’t enthused of helping us. ( the lady with bob hairstyle) When we entered into the restaurant, we noticed she gave us that unpleasant facial expression. She needs to work on/improve her customer service skills so she can serve better to ALL KINDS OF CUSTOMERS/PEOPLE.

Cannot argue with the location. Perfect for overseas visitors, so we just took a friend here for her birthday while she is visiting. We went for the tasting menu matched with wines. the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was a little stuffy in the beginning but it soon warmed up to give a nice ambiance. They are very generous with the matching wines, so couple this with the rich food and it made for quite a queezy head on departure :-)

Service was very poor, we repeatedly had to track someone down to order food and drinks and all but one waiter looked like he'd rather be somewhere else. The food was good but nothing special, and definitely not worth the price tag. Our bread was burnt on the outside and not super fresh, not a good start. I had fish for main which was average, the popcorn cheesecake for desert was nice. I was expecting to be impressed but left feeling flat. It was a special occasion, I wish we had gone elsewhere

User

From experience I did not enjoy my food there at all. The staff were welcoming but I visited for the food not for the staff. Nothing about the food was right other than the basic over priced desert and mash next to my main course.

User

Amazing. Food was beautiful. Staff were excellent.
It is in the pricey side though. But definitely worth it.

We celebrated my mothers 85th birthday last week at Aria. The friendly and attentive staff, delicious food and wonderful views made this a memorable night. The absence of loud groups and great acoustics was a bonus! The birthday candle and birthday wishes from the kitchen were an added touch. Would highly recommend for a special evening.

User

Yeah, it's pretty good. You'd sort of expect that though, for the money. Matt Moran takes a good approach to his food, focusing on the natural flavours more than too much showboating. View here is not too shabby either, as it turns out. Good place for formal celebrations and the like.

User

One of the best places I've been to. Food was amazing and service was spectacular, I can find no fault with their service. I wasn't too sure what to get because I don't go to fine dining a lot but the staff were very patient and gave me many suggestions to help me, down from the food items to the wine selections. I went there as a 6 month celebration mark with my girlfriend and I am so glad I chose this place. Would recommend as a fancy date idea.

Great food and great service -

We came with a group of 7 people to the restaurant and had a great time. The restaurant has a great view to the Opera and the food is exceptional. You have the option of choosing a tasting menu (the entire table has to take this option) or you can choose between 2, 3 or 4 courses and you can mix-match between appetizers, main dishes and desserts.

Prices are definitely on the upper range but worth it if you want to splurge with a nice view.

User

Wonderful setting especially if youre watching a performance at the Opera house or just happen to be in the area for another reason. Food is excellent but not the best for this price point. Bookings essential

User

Visited Aria with the family during vivid 2016. Quite possibly the finest dining experience I've had. Service and food 10/10.

User

Great atmosphere, staff were extremely polite and attended all needs. Everything was great except the food. Wouldn't come back or recommend anyone to come here for the food. Very standard.
