My experiences flying from Incheon to Rome. It wasn't Asiana Australia but imagine it's a sign of the airline glibally.: Terrible airline. Reconsider flying Asiana. I thought a five star rated Skytrax airline would need to have a certain standard of in-flight entertainment especially for long haul flights, however I was wrong. Asiana expects everyone to spend 13 hours doing nothing but sleep. There was no USB port, no power plug access and no on demand video or audio. The screen was the smallest I've seen and the picture quality was atrocious - fuzzy and half the screen covered with fuzz. The limited movie selection constantly repeated themselves throughout the entirety of the flight. One movie that was watchable as far as picture quality gos was playing in it's original English soundtrack and Korean at the same time. Whenever I told staff about anything they just said they can't do anything as it's an old plane. All one could do was sleep however that was constantly interrupted due to the personal lights and staff call light turning on by itself - the staff would come and wake me and turn it off and constantly asking what was happening? Surely they should of been able to fix it from their end. The same thing was happening to those in seats in front and at the back of me. The staff were rude and snarky every time we spoke. On top of this the food was extremely bland and small quantities (compare this to the likes of Qatar which is quality and plentiful). I chose this airline because of it's reputation and five star rating (it was the start of me and my wife's anniversary and honeymoon so wanted a memorable flight). Warning to all not to fly Asiana unless it's similar price to budget airlines - always chose the likes of Singapore, Cathay and Qatar first. If you're flying in the region then even Jetstar word be a better choice with their iPad rentals and vast array of food and drink. I will be making sure as many people know about this until Asiana refund my return flight or the recent flight as I don't think i can spend another minute on board one of their planes.
