🚴‍♂️CYCLING SAFETY TIPS🚴‍♂️ This year's Bike Week is focusing on cyclist safety. So whether you're a driver, cyclist or walker we all need to remember:
⬅️ Keep left. On shared paths, cyclists and pedestrians should keep left and share the track.
... 📣 Use your bell. Cyclists on shared paths should travel at a safe speed for the environment and ring their bell when approaching other people.
🐕 Pedestrians on shared paths can help by keeping dogs on short leashes and moving off the path if stopped.
🚙 On roads where the speed limit is 60km/hour or less, drivers must give cyclists 1 metre passing distance.
🚴‍♂️ On roads where the speed limit is over 60km/hour, drivers must give cyclists 1.5 metres passing distance.

🚴‍♂️ HAPPY BIKE WEEK 🚴‍♂️ This year cycling safety is a top priority! This annual state-wide event promotes cycling as a healthy, easy, low cost and environmentally friendly transport option.
To celebrate this initiative the we are offering locals a cycling incentive. Come meet our Road Safety Officer at the following locations this week for your chance to score some great cycling freebies!
