Great Sunday lunch. Roast of the day was delicious. Nice touch being able to help ourselves to the salad bar too. The fish and chips was a massive portion. Nice to have Speckled Hen and Guinness on tap too.

Absolutely appalling customer service in the bistro ... don't go here unless you like queuing more than 20 minutes to order over-priced food, and then queuing separately to buy your drinks. And their table numbering system defies all logic ... need a number allocated by a separate staff member? Get real .... an insult to their patrons. Staff argued with more than 2 customers while I was there about their ridiculous system, would never go back there. Such a shame.

Was appalled by my last visit that coffee and dessert we ordered took 40mins. Told I would be refunded, when I enquired about this refund the manager was completely rude! He continually interrupted me by saying 'we're not giving a refund' whilst I was trying to explain our situation. Used to be amazing, but given the poor managerial staff on board now, will NOT be returning. End of my trip ruined by a fat dumpy troll of a man who will clearly amount to nothing given his poor attitude.

In winter ask to sit near the fire, you'll get a table in one of the smaller rooms in the pub.
Mind you, if you've got kids, you might prefer to sit in the main dining room which has a crisp decor and family friendly vibe.
Competently done pub grub delivered by friendly, smiling staff.

Lovely late 1800's spot, very nice menu, food nicely done, and a step up from good pub food as you would expect , great ambience. Fireplace in the bar area but sadly not in the restaurant. Very nice outdoors decking area with a huge fire pit, or a lawn in the front garden. Possibly a little overpriced $$$/5. I would definitely go there on my next visit to the area.

Nice place to meet with friends or family for a drink but food is a bit expensive. Classic southern highlands.

We often come for dinner when visiting family in Bowral. Staff very friendly. Roasts are great! Salad bar is not as good as it was, much more limited and all are mixed salads which aren't helpful for those with food sensitivities. Only one today didn't have dairy of some sort and it was plain cabbage. Even the mixed green salad had cheese shavings through it. The dairy free dessert had mascarpone cheese as one of the ingredients so watch that! Still keep coming back as food is tasty, it has a nice atmosphere and the playground on-site is perfect for my little ones.
