When for the bacon week they had on and there was no outstanding food.
I've eaten here before and it had been nice but this was just a novelty and didn't seem to have much effort put in.
Tried multiple things off the menu between a friend and myself, even though some of it was nice, it was basic as.
Also tried the gin martini which were different, not bad but a definite one off.
The real disappointment was the over set pannacotta which was more like a smoked cheese with a powdery textured store bought packet mousse on top.. all for $16.
Very disappointed in the quality.

Great atmosphere location and food

I was here with a big group for a gathering we had booked. It was during the day time and there didn't appear to be much other trade apart from the 30 patrons we brought along.

Overall good food and beer, ambiance was also pretty nice as its in an old theatre.

Big let down in the service, only two staff on board which struggled to serve and accommodate all of us in a timely manner (despite booking in advance). Also the gentleman with the beard had a bit of attitude when being questioned things and could have been a little more apologetic, overall the only let down.

Yeah it's alright hey. Lovely old building. One of the few bars with a pool table these days. I still wish the teapots were $10 instead of $18.

Nice burger menu, the place has alot of craft beer to choose from and the interior is very unique. Its an ex-movie theatre with projections and retro movies being played on the wall. The upper mezzanine is able to be hired out for functions and overlooks the rest of the bar/ restaurant.

User

Just a great favorite! Simple good food and perfect beer pours. The burger could have been a little bigger, but maybe that is because it tasted so good.

User

Great atmosphere. Good food. Awesome drinks. Hosted RAW here. Good for public events as well

User

Excellent location. Affordable food prices. Great little both area screening old classic movies

Sensational food and beer and great atmosphere. Highly highly recommended

User

Really nice atmosphere but you will pay through the nose for drinks if you aren't there on a specials night.

It is the one of the WORST station in Sydney Australia; maybe in the world and I've been to alot of stations in Australia and around the world. The staff are the most psycho aggressive and just bizaare and abusive and the people going there are too. From when I was a small child til now and I am only a teen now with my elderly disabled mother - we have been yelled at for no reason by ugly old men staff - given the wrong directions and had one train station guy tell me I cannot get concession card when I can and now have. I've been physically been attacked/stepped on and instead of sorry they are just grumpy and no remorse just continue being nasty and clearly unapologetically abusive. Only recently have I found a complaint mechanism. I have been sexually abused with one construction worker may not be associated with train staff or maybe is drop something on my butt a few times and I was just recently raped.

edit/update cuz I am such a good reviewer ; Oh and I am talking about the 2 main exit level ones not the one up the escalators which may seem a little bigger but not much better.

Best old building... Huge, uhmm massive is the word. Many entrances confusing so needs navigation arrangements.

User

Did you know that light rail is next to the train station?
Also some sort of airport is so far.
Well,I have a cardboard airport and my dad brought planes from amazon.Make sure that you're not lost.If you're lost ask the crew.

User

It's no Grand Central, but it's tolerably efficient and clean. Wish there were better food options but no big deal, there's plenty within a 10 min walk.

Beautiful old building, even better around the festive season when the Christmas trees and decorations are on display. Booking office and luggage check-in for country trains are open almost 24/7. However from my personal experience, station staff at the gates can either be more than happy to assist, or really nasty towards customers (particularly those of Indian appearance).

User

It's a big station. You can go anywhere from here.
Except the toilet is not really good smell. Nothing too much to complain about.

User

A great looking station. Well organised and clean. Good food options and toilets etc. Good info for your journey and staff can be friendly!!!

User

The main train station of Sydney as its name suggests. Very convenient. The building is beautiful. But toilets are a bit dirty.

User

I have visited this station hundreds of times for over half a century. It was 'central' to all my adventures as a child, teenager and adult. Such a beautiful, historic building. Regular train services to everywhere, light rail and buses at the door. Close to hotels, theatres, pubs and restaurants. Clean and well-maintained. Friendly staff. 😊
