Reviews
View is great, tents are comfy, bathrooms are clean BUT, there are simply too many rules around alcohol, noise etc. Security is not friendly either.
All its got going for it is the location. So much more could be done in terms of managing it. The historical buildings are not properly opened up to the public and just look like abandoned warehouses. Seagulls have infested the area and if you happen to camp near their nesting area, you better be a heavy sleeper or wear earplugs. Managed well this could be a great place, but as for now it is overpriced and there is nothing u can do here that you can't do elsewhere with better facilities and more activities and better views
Ideal budget Sydney accommodation for families, but seems to be mostly used by locals on the weekend, when on site tents are full. Usually no need to book if bringing your own tent. Ferries only run hourly at night, so planning needed.
Fantastic camping and glamping options. Very well organised and great views.
Ferry round trip from circular quay, quick half day experience for a stroll, possibly a picnic. Camera and walking shoes are a must.
Haven't stayed but it's a hilariously good idea. Tents already set up for you. Clever idea. Didn't notice a children's play area so you might want
to inquire.
It is very comfortable camping in historical place, especially if you have kids). There is nice cafe to have breakfast with simple but tasty good quality food. It is very nice view from this island on the bridge - different from others)
Camping made very easy. Great exploration options. Staff can be a bit strict. Beware seagulls making a lot of noise very early in the morning - take earplugs and probably avoid their breeding season in spring. Very good amenities.
What a wonderful place to visit and unwind. The staff in the stores are also super friendly
