So what is a FolkSwagon, a question posed since time immemorium? Is it a time, place where folk accumulate to get their swag off or on? Where the folk genre is swagged until it is on? Where it is AT until it's ON, SWAG until you cannot FOLK no more?
Roll Up! Roll Up! IT'S LIVE, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AND IT PROBABLY WILL!
ACT I
... ESTELLE CONLEY
Sydney based singer/songwriter Estelle Conley performs folk-style music reminiscent of some of her heroinesŌĆöJoni Mitchell, Patti Griffin and Eva Cassidy, to name a few. Her songs are sure to soothe the most savage of beasts with their sweet sweet tones and melodic riffs. A bit like yoga for the ears.

JON COTTON
Raised on Fred Astaire and the Fresh Prince of Belair and tethered between the cocky and the cavalier Jon Cotton leads a revolution revolving around the hip flicks and vocal tricks of a crooner in a snap back. A front man doing the frezno in a fedora sung out of Sinatra and D'Angelo. He can teach you how to dougie and how to drink a single malt. A live show known for it's ineffable class and swagger. The room is filled with the flailing of limbs and head tilted shut eye choirs belt anthems with carelessly raised hands. The believer in in sex and chivalry and in gospel being a message not a genre. From vaudeville, to big band, to 808 beats Jon Cotton is an apostle of appropriation who will meet you kindly between Gene Kelly and Frank Ocean on the edge of the stage and the begging of reverie.

HANNAH MATYSEK
A story teller with strings, Hannah Matysek charms audiences with rich vocals, smooth guitar, and songs that make you feel right at home. Hannah welcomes audiences into her world with simple sentiments about family, friends, life and love, and connects with crowds of all shapes and sizes.
Hannah played her first show at sixteen years old, and has since performed her music on some of Sydney's most iconic stages, including the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Entertainment Centre (now the ICC Sydney), The Basement and more.
Drawing on a variety of influences ranging from blues and soul, to folk and rock n roll, Hannah produces a mongrel mash up of genres, playing some songs that will make you want to get up and dance, and others that will warm up your innermost parts.
Either way, Hannah's performance is nothing short of wholehearted and is bound to leave you smiling from ear to ear, humming a catchy tune.
