Hobarts Restaurant

Having followed Lesley Taylor since 1990s at the Albion Hotel I attended Hobarts with great expectations and high expectations.
I was disappointed; the food was ordinary for such high prices, very small serves for 3 course meal billed as 5 couses which included 2 amuse-bouche; no vegetarian options and no a la charte choice. I have never eaten shepards pie and did not expect to ( nor lamb ragu) at a hatted restaurant as part of an assiette of lamb.
No return visit from me.

A bit too expensive in my opinion for the quality of food served there.

I phoned in to inquire about the "high tea" as I'm trying to find a venue for my daughters 16th birthday around 17 people. The staff member who answered the phone was so rude. He told me the price $45 per head which was informative. Then when I asked about the menu he's answer was "Well, we have sangers & a scone is just a scone with all the stuff that go with it"!! If this is an example of what is expected thanks but NO thanks.

Amazing food. Perfect service. Third time was just as amazing as our first! Driving home full and happy.

Incredible food and amazing staff!

As a Christmas gift from our Daughter and Son in law this year we had the pleasure of dining at Hobarts and although the restaurant was full, we experienced service second to none and without any of the 'stuffiness' usually associated with food of this quality. The food tasted delicious as well as being beautifully presented and all courses came out perfectly timed. The staff were attentive without being obtrusive and the atmosphere just right. We had such a perfect and memorable night that we will definately be booking here again very soon! Eating at Hobarts Restaurant is a pleasure not to be missed!
