Hyams Beach Store & Cafe

Pretty great food. Hard not yo say "it used to be better", which it did ... still delivers pretty well.

A small take away/ eat in cafe near Hyams beach on the South Coast of NSW. Friendly staff, within walking distance to the beach( unfortunately no beach view though,),basic selection of food available, there is one small area available where you can bring your dog. Would recommend..

The only cafe I can see near Hyams Beach! I guess this is the place where everyone get their snack and meals. The cafe area is cozy and there are many beautiful photographs on the wall. The meal is slightly on the pricey side but delicious.

Tired old dry buns and complete lack of beetroot on plain hamburgers. Hardly inexpensive either. Lucky they have a captive audience.
Friendly and polite staff however.

Very slow to serve is and when we finally got there the staff were too much in a hurry to go to the beach or something as they closed the kitchen for anything on the menu that was worth having, offered usc some left over salad and quiche which was even an effort for them to warm up in the microwave. So salad and cold quiche in takeaway container which wasn't worth the over the top price they charged, which was quite rude. Coffee is ok.

Nice little place with great food and decent coffee. Nice beachside feel to it, with great photography on display.

Staff rude - food average.
Waited for over 30mins for a lentil burger and a pre-made salad which simply had to be put in a box. When we approached the staff about the state of our order, a lady with a pony tail and a big cross necklace was really rude to us. A simple apology and an update on when the food will be ready would have been the perfect remedy for this situation - instead she argued with us telling us we hadn't waited that long. Seeing as there was a time stamp on the receipt her comment was quite unnecessary and also inaccurate. When we pointed out the time stamp she said "well don't you see we are busy here". Someone like this should not work in hospitality. And after all that fuss the food was not even nice - the burger was tasteless and certainly not worth the wait!

This light and airy cafe is a very pleasant spot to eat. We opted to sit on the upper level by a window, but unfortunately the view of the ocean was blocked by the rental cottage in front of it. No matter, it's still a nice place to sit. Our cheeseburger was really tasty, and fish and chips were delicious. I notice this place gets some flack about their prices, but to us they didn't seem out of line with other restaurants in the area (although watch out for that Sunday surcharge). This is a great place to eat when doing the White Sands Walk.

Fantastic service, friendly staff. Huge servings of the freshest food. Casual, relaxed atmosphere. Popular spot. Takeaway available too
