Western Sydney most successful dance education facility for Classical Ballet and the Performing Arts catering from 2 yrs to Professionals. . . "Inspire - Create - Perform"

In 2014, “La Danse” Studios celebrates its 49th year as the Premier dance school for Classical Ballet training in the Western area.
The Professional Penrith location is fully equipped with 2 large studios, sprung floors and full length mirrors, air conditioning, change rooms, waiting room and reception area.
Classes are also held in Glenbrook.

Classical Ballet - The school offers a high level of training for girls and boys in the Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Syllabus from Preprimary in Dance to Grade 8 and Vocational levels from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 standard for students wishing to pursue a professional career. Approximately 80 plus students each year at La Danse take part in the children’s grades exams and major ballet level exams with rewarding and outstanding results.
Classes are also offered by specialist teachers in Jazz, Tap (GWT), Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Progressions, Stretching and Strength, Student and Adult Pilates technique classes and Competition Work . Our Junior Students of La Danse also have the opportunity to take part in our Scalleywags program , which focuses on music, dance and drama and not to forget our famous Creative Preschool Dance Play for the next Fairy ballerina or Buzz lightyear of the world. .
Many former students from “La Danse” now work professionally in Australia and overseas.


Every few years La Danse embarks on an exciting international tour. 2012 was an exciting year with an amazing tour to the USA – LA and New York, with students performing at Disneyland, attending workshops and performances. More information will be available in 2014 for continuing students and for new members.

La Danse Student Highlights over the past few years include:
Senior students of La Danse obtaining admission into full time performing arts and contemporary / ballet courses within Australia and London
Many students receiving over the 90% bracket in their RAD Ballet exams
Many students received dance scholarships to highly recognised primary and high schools.
La Danse Studios Classical Ballet and performance troupes were awarded highly at all competitions
After gaining high marks and placing all styles of dance many students travelled to Queensland in Jan 2013 to compete in Showcase - National Dance Championships
Grade 5 Student Annie Buckley returned from the USA after staring in the Disney's blockbuster movie “Saving Mr Banks” with Hollywood heavyweights Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell and Rachel Griffiths.
Emma Riches (teacher Miss Emma) was selected to perform a dance scene in the TV show Puberty Blues.
Senior Students Elise Wilson and Alicia Cox were selected for the classical section of School Spectacular. Many other students are involved each year in these performances.
Mel Kerr (senior student) arrived safely in the UK London to
start her exciting adventure studying dance choreography at University over there.
Intermediate and Senior Students had the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed teacher, choreographer & performers from the New York Musical Memphis and also were fortunate enough to take class with a Principal Dancer of the Worlds Famous Showgroup “The Rockettes”

All La Danse teachers are fully qualified using the latest teaching methods and techniques. They are professional and create a positive and motivating learning atmosphere for their students. Many of our teachers are also trained teachers with the NSW Department of education or are performers in the professional dance industry.
