Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum

Worth the visit, run by volunteers. Great collection of hand guns and all the items made at the small arms factory.

Very interesting and well displayed museum. Would rate higher but wheelchair access is limited.

The best publicly viewable display of firearms in Australia if not the southern hemisphere.
Worth the trip to Lithgow on it's own.
The staff are extremely helpful, they will give you a tour, jußt ask.

Beautifully presented collection in the home of the Australian produced military rifles.
Staff are exceptional, venue facilities are clean and above all, the place feels just right.
I'm truly impressed and am already planning a return trip.
If you're in the ADF, you owe it to yourself to see this place, as well as the rising sun display.

An exceptional exhibition documenting the history of such an important production facility. The display of weaponary must be as good as you could see anywhere.

Brilliant tour guide a real piece of history and huge collection of small arms

Tell the kids you are taking to them to see the museum of 'small arms' and they will be very unimpressed and grumbly until they walk in and see it is wall to wall machine guns.

Needs a tour guide, but it's got great examples of Boer war -> current weapons.

Awsom collection of small arms used throughout history mainly military based. Also a history lesson as to the other uses of the Lithgow Small Arms factory, as it was not always producing Small Arms.
Worth a look to find out a bit of Australian history.
