GREAT MOMENTS IN PERSEVERANCE UNDER PRESSURE: Despite the lengthy blackout experienced here this afternoon, our dedicated tech Sam Webber toiled on in the pitch black theatre setting the stage for the Sydney Balalaika Orchestra. Armed with nothing but a small torch, he managed to correctly position the 28 member orchestra's setting on stage, and when the power came back on this is what was revealed. Here at the MEC we go above and beyond to ensure that the show will indeed go on! #greatstaff #darktheatre #beattheodds #howdoyoubalalaikathat

Taree Arts Council are holding a fundraising evening for their upcoming Manning Entertainment Centre season of "Les Misérables" on Friday 21st September at 7pm at the Waterfront Room of the Exchange Hotel. Prime 7 News caught up with CIRCUS OZ trainers Luke and Karen, who travelled all the way from Melbourne to Taree to share their skills with local kids from Manning Gardens Public School, the Circartus troupe and the PCYC Gymaroos. Enjoyed the concert exceedingly. The acoustics of the building was good, I've been in classier theaters where the acoustics were not as good.
