We are a non-profit (book publishers) organization recently established with the sole purpose to raise funds for research and study of fauna and flora through publishing a range of travel and field guides. All revenue raised from these books will go into a research ‘Poole’ and not into the pocket of a corporate entity. So the buyer will be pleased to know all proceeds will go back into conservation and research projects. Further, on our website we offer free a wide range of book and travel reviews to assist readers in making a more informed choice.

We are at a period in the planets history where we are discovering more new species of fauna and flora at a rate like never before – yet at the same time we are destroying the planet and its resources at a rate like never before. Science, especially in the areas of education, field work and exploration are desperately in need of funding to continue research and study, yet recent trends by federal governments such as in Australia and the USA are stifling the existence of let alone acknowledging the need for environmental research and natural history studies. Unfortunately we cannot rely on governments to do the right and logical thing (to be actively participating in the care and preservation of our planet for current and future generations) and so we need to take things into to our own hands if we are to succeed in protecting our planet. Hence why this enterprise has been established and further it is hoped the funds we can raise through book sales and donations will be of considerable assistance.

Among our objectives is the education of the general public on the benefits of conserving our planets remaining forests and wetlands; the simple yet effective use of bio-indicators of environmental health and their educational and aesthetic benefits in the garden; rare and unusual plants and animals and indeed the care and conservation of whole habitats in order to conserve all fauna and flora of those habitats.

One of our biggest goals is the construction of a botanical eco park with a wildlife conservation and education centre in north Borneo. This centre would be used for not only educating local people on the benefits of conservation and eco-tourism but would also host international college and university students and already qualified visiting scientists. It will also specialize in the artificial propagation of endangered plants. In due course we also hope to support other genuine conservation and educational projects of other organizations.
