Westfield Kotara

A great store which sells almost everything. Friendly staff and a great cafe if you need a bite to eat. I always love shopping at Bunnings.

One of the better Westfields. I love the open air restaurant area on the top. Really enjoyed having lunch there during the week and it was dead quiet. Perfect. I'd rate 5 but the Westfield itself is more like a 4.

A great shopping centre, lots of stores that you want to visit, lots of room so you don't feel crowded, friendly and pleasant atmosphere, ... the list goes on. Absolutely perfect play equipment for the children, even babies and toddlers - easily the best and largest in Newcastle, and our kids love it. Easy to get a park, but can sometimes be slow to get out, which is where this place falls down - this really needa to be improved. Great new eatery and restaurant section at the top of the carpark, adds a lot of variety for your meals, and the food court has excellent choices as well. This is the best shopping complex in Newcastle by far.

Like going to Westfield Kotara because the homemaker centre next door is a plus for finding everything you need in a small area.
The shopping centre is easy to navigate through. Absolutely love the new restaurant areas on the roof, highly recommend!
Love that this centre is the only place in a large area that has a cancer council store as I go here to buy all my sunglasses.
Only downfall is that the car park has always been awkwardly constructed and now made worse by expansion construction. Still hoping that it will one day be fixed as everyone I know always complains about that car park.

Generally hard to find a park, in the rain the car parks flood. It's a fiddly car park and I get turned around in there often. There is a good playground for younger kids (I'd say under 8) and various good quality cafes for a coffee and cake but since Kmart and toys r us have moved out I find myself steering clear. It has a lot of the same chain retailers as Charlestown square so I don't find anything that I NEED here anymore. They have ongoing works in progress so car parks are shifting and closing etc.

I hate shopping but, i go here with the missus, walk a bit, have some lunch, walk some more, have dinner and watch a movie. There are 'rest' areas for men to sit outside the shops and people watch. You can spend a day out and have a nice meal and movie.

Getting better all the time. Kmart closed till next year is a big disappointment. However, the renovation goes on. Very easy to park. Great food court.

Great and huge mall. Lots of good stores, and mostly everything can be found here.

My favourite place to shop in Newcastle nsw.
Plenty of undercover parking and very child friendly. I only come here so often because I find it so easy to get around with my toddler.
Great range of different specialty stores as well as department stores.
At Christmas time the shopping centre is extremely busy like most places around that time.

Great restaurants at the rooftop. I wish all Westfield had a great setup like this. I really like the layout of Kotara easy exam for a Bloke to find things. My only downer is the parking system and the costs involved.

Good variety of large chain stores (Kmart, Target, David Jones etc.) mostly clothing stores with decent foodcourt for a quick bite.
The star of the show is the rooftop restaurant area. Wonderfully laid out for perfect people watching and a great variety to choose from makes the shopping experience last well into the night.
Parking can be difficult at peak times unless you know the quiet spots 😉😉

Love the rooftop. The cinema is great and there are so many good eateries. Always have a wonderful time with the family here.

Westfield Kotara is a great way to spend a few hours. Wether its the weekly groceries, a coffee, chemist, a meal from a multitude of eateries, or even the latest movies. Although a huge complex it still maintains a friendly, welcoming experience to all ages of its loyal regular customers.
