Without a doubt the best dentist around. From the girls at reception to the dental assistant and the amazing Dentist, Dr Thavavatan. Everything the dentist did was explained in detail and the whole team were great at involving/distracting my young daughter throughout the process. Would highly recommend. :)

My experience was incredible. I was recommended to A1 from a friend who liked the doctors. I saw one which he did not know. Dr Araventh Thavavaran was so honest explaining to me what I needed and what I did not. In fact, I was very surprised indeed.

I would like to give credit to A1 Dental for their professionalism and as a client for many years they have shown great service and work ethics with constantly evolving their business to keep up with new technology and practices.
They have really shown that there is a collaborative approach to their staff showing a team business, every employee
shows the same passion as if it was their own business. Just from my recent visit to Dali (hygienist) who was very welcoming with her vibrant personality, she shown interest in every area that needed attention and could see the passion that she had in her line of work, which set a comfortable and pleasant visit.
Ironic to say about a dental firm, but thumbs up for A1 who surely delivers what they believe in. Regards Danny.

Dr. Shareif Elhoufy inherited us when Dr. Graham Jones retired. We would never think of changing to another Canberra dentist even though he is not close to where we live. Ralph & I have entrusted our dentistry needs to Dr. Shareif Elhoufy & his staff for many years now with great results. The compassionate and professional manner they show in meeting our needs continues to impress us. They treat us more as family than patients. We've never been more comfortable with our dental care. Shareif, his staff in the front and in the treatment rooms are A+++ in our opinion. We also appreciate that they get us in on time and out in good fashion. Thank heavens he will outlive us so we will never have to change dentists. We really appreciate their value and efficiency. Highly recommended!! Thank you.

Amazing! I came in to have a procedure of three crowns in my teeth. I was very nervous and afraid of a dentist saying something negative about my teeth to the point of me being uncomfortable.
Dr Shareif Elhoufy made me totally relaxed within minutes with his very reassuring manner and calm words. And never once felt judged. He carried out the procedure quickly and efficiently and I thought the cost was very reasonable. He made coming to the dentist something I looked forward to and the results look amazing! I love showing off my teeth now. So happy to have a smile again thanks to him!

It's hard to review a dentist visit because, by definition, they are generally unpleasant, but I can't complain about A1 Dental in Belconnen.
Fitted me in at the last minute for a semi-emergency consult. Very friendly staff, clean modern offices in a convenient location. Perhaps not the cheapest but very up-front about costs, no surprises. Pretty quick to line me up for future treatment, but to be honest, I definitely need to be taking a more proactive role in looking after my teeth.

I’ve spent plenty of time looking for an affordable and quality dentist. This clinic definitely delivers both!
Making an appointment through email was fairly easy, I have a busy life style and the scheduler was patient and offered some possibilities. The appointment itself was a very good experience, all of the team were super friendly from the front desk officer to the dentist over the hygienist, they go out of their way to explain what is happening to make you feel comfortable. The equipment seem sterile and everything else looks clean as well.
Now the best part of this, my most preferred dentist in Canberra Dr. Shareif Elhoufy is very professional, punctual, friendly, gentle and he doesn’t sound commercial at all. He patiently listened to my problem and gave me different solutions with full explanation and freedom of choice.
My overall experience here was so positive that any future dental work will be done at A1 Dental. Awesome dental!

Only a 10-star review could represent my family's experiences at A1 Dental Belconnen. We've been patients of Dr Shareif Elhoufy since I broke a tooth in 2002 shortly after moving to Canberra. Dr Shareif Elhoufy and his amazing team make each dental experience as good as it could possibly be. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable and they are equipped with the latest and greatest tools. Better yet, they are equipped with an amazing team of people who care and are passionate about what they do. They answer questions thoroughly and operate with the family's best interest at heart. Great focus on patient education and preventative care. Have never been disappointed in our experiences there.

My family and I needed some last minute consultations and treatment. The clinic bent over backwards to accomodate us. No request was too much. The quality of treatment was excellent and very customer service orientated. Both the dentists and the hygienist were excellent and very engaging and professional. The clinic itself is in an extremely convenient location, the front counter staff superb and the facilities and equipment fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Dr Shareif Elhoufy has been my dentist for 12 years as at 2017. At the start, my teeth were in terrible shape, and Shareif's first job was to build caps for about 10 of them. It was a major project that took 8 weeks to complete. Shareif said that they would probably need to be redone after 3 - 5 years, especially since I have such a powerful bite. Well, after 12 years, they are still going fine. Shareif has never let me down in any way and I always believe that Shareif always has my best interests at heart when I consult with him. That he has such a busy practice is testament to the fact that he is a consummate professional and is at the top of his game. I have total confidence in his knowledge and skills as my dentist. I am so very lucky to have met him after having previously having had experiences with dentists who were past their use-by date

Literally the most enjoyable dental experience I have ever had! My husband and I moved here almost four years ago and I have been putting off finding a new dentist due to prior dental trauma. After quite a bit of research and based on a friend referral we chose A1 Dental, and we couldn't be happier! We came here, and they laid everything out and did a wonderful job with the communication and professionalism. Dr Shareif Elhoufy and Amy are truly all about bed side manner and patient care. They communicated with me about the status of my teeth and made me feel very comfortable. We discussed my dental history and they used that information to perform a more customized approach to my cleaning that made me feel completely at ease and comfortable during my visits. Every time I make a dental appointment, everyone from the front office to my dentist and his assistants are so very nice and friendly. They make my appointments worthwhile and informative. Their dental work is top quality and they are very customer service orientated. I now feel much more comfortable with regular dental care and would highly recommend A1 Dental Barton !
