About Act State Emergency Service

The ACT State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency organisation dedicated to helping the community. It consists of around 250 volunteers and eight staff members.

Act State Emergency Service Description

The ACTSES is the lead Agency responsible for dealing with storms and floods in the ACT. This includes planning for storms and floods as well as educating members of the Community on how to protect themselves and their property.

The ACTSES also assists other emergency services as required including AFP, ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Ambulance Service.
