Amaze 'N' Puzzled

The establishment of a social venture business for my son who has a disability & limited post school options. In establishing this business it will provide my son the opportunity for employment & contribute to society.

My son is gifted in putting puzzles together; he can piece them together without even looking at the picture. He also has an interest in horticulture so my idea is to place his strengths & interests together and establishing a hedged maze.

The maze will provide an opportunity to be challenged, puzzling, to think outside of the square. It will provide opportunities for family outings, school groups & tourists to the region.

I plan on having a small gift shop that will sell an assortment of puzzles & mind challenging games as well as a games room where families can sit and have a go at putting puzzles together. As well as a BBQ area for family gatherings & meals.

My son also has circus skills with riding unicycles, juggling, pois & walking on stilts, this will provide entertainment for guests. Another advantage of stilts is that he can trim the top of the hedges ;-)

I also plan to work with Canberra’s Specialist Schools & provide an opportunity for students with a disability can gain trade skills in horticulture.

This will be the first hedged maze established in Canberra as a tourist attraction, one of a kind.
