We had one of the best Indian dinners in Canberra at the Aroma Restaurant. The butter chicken, korma chicken and goat were delicious. Service was excellent and we will definitely frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. Highly recommended. We give it a 10/10

Enjoyed a pleasant dinner. The Tandoori lamb cutlets and onion bahji entrees were very nice. The mains were good without standing out. On a Tuesday night, very quiet, but good food.

Im usually a huge fan when it comes to indian food but aroma on the overhand was utterly horrible. Butter chicken tasted like chicken in pure coconut milk. Everything was below homemade level. So disapponted... i dont really recommend this place to be honest.

Nice atmosphere, great food on a cold Canberra night . I appreciated the little touches such as warm plates and chilled water on the table without asking, great service overall a very nice restaurant. I will return to explore more of the menu.

Ordered takeaway from here and it was revolting. It tasted like chicken in burnt cream.

C must have visited a different restaurant as I cannot believe that it would have changed so much in two weeks. The decor was soulless, a Santa Claus was still on the front counter(it's now mid-May), it was cold and we had to keep our jackets on. That's just to start but a precursor to what followed - or didn't. The front-of-counter person was the only staff in evidence although there were noises coming from the kitchen. Service was abominable. Water arrived after fifteen minutes. A plate of samosas arrived some thirty minute notes later. Of the three types presented one was burnt and another might just as well have been a Chinese fortune cookie as the covering pastry was overcooked, too thick and dry. As well the spice flavouring was unbalanced. We asked for a mango lassi and as we were using a Groupon voucher were asked to pay for them. That was OK but when they arrived they tasted bitter and fizzy, prompting a concern that either the yoghurt or the mango nectar was off. Finally, an hour after we arrived we decided to leave and got up from the table. The front-of-counter person at this point wanted to take our orders. Naturally we declined, preferring to go home and console ourselves with a 'toastie' which turned out to be a much better option. After all of that debacle, to add insult to injury and notwithstanding that we had paid for a Groupon voucher with a full value of over $70, we had to pay for the lassis!

I have given one star to this establishment only because there was no scope for a lower valuation. Needless to say I would not recommend the Aroma Restaurant Isaacs to anyone. Indeed I would go further and strongly dissuade any prospective client from darkening its door.
