An open mic, performance and visual arts space at Beyond Q book shop & pop up events fosters a supportive and fun environment for emerging artists.

Art Underground is an evening of spoken word open mic, performance and visual art. It aims to create a fun and supportive forum for artists to perform, whether you're new to the scene or a veteran. It encourages all forms of poetry, short stories, visual art, music, rap, and combinations of.

Everyone is welcome to sign up: you get roughly four minutes to demonstrate your artistic talents. A local artist will also display their work. There will also be a retrospective zine published of the performing artists.

Art Underground takes place at Beyond Q, a magical underground land of second-hand books, comfy chairs and delicious coffee hidden away in Curtin.

So bring your words, ears and eyes and enjoy a chai or a cuppa, pull up a chair and let your senses be wooed. Whether you are performing or simply want to experience something different, come down to Art Underground.
