About Australian Science Olympiads

The Australian Science Olympiad competition is the stepping stone to the International Science Olympiads which are the 'Olympic Games for Science Students'.

Australian Science Olympiads Description

The Australian Science Olympiad Competition is designed to challenge the brightest year 10 and 11 science students. It is the training and selection process for top performing secondary science students which culminates in the International Science Olympiads.

We deliver two other major science extension programs: The Big Science Competition, sponsored by Rio Tinto, is designed to test students’ scientific inquiry and problem solving skills. It is aligned with the Australian Curriculum - Science and open to students of all abilities in years 7 to 12. Schools from all countries are invited to participate.

The Asian Science Camp brings together 200 young people in a celebration of science and friendship. It promotes international cooperation and networks among the best young science students of the next generation in Asia, Australia and Oceania and encourage deeper thinking about science and scientific knowledge.
