Avenue Hotel Canberra

Loved the two bedroom apartment. Clean, new and spacious. Good location. Accommodated our whole family and was a lovely space to come back to every evening. Price was reasonable. Take note that they charge 10 dollars a day for parking unless you book through their hotel website (which is more expensive). The hotel restaurant served good steaks.

Very nice hotel, lovely open rooms and a beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately zero Vodafone reception in tower two. Otherwise perfect.

Beautiful room. Very quiet too. Loved the restaurant, comfy feel to it. Room service is very fast. Cheese platter is a must!

Super snazzy accommodations. Parking is free & easy for hotel guests. Employees are very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is very nice. It's modern and very up to date. Rooms were hot and wouldn't want to stay in hot weather. Air conditioning didn't work and when it did work it would turn off when you left the room to go for a walk or to sit on the balcony.

This hotel is the best. My partner and I have been here many times and we will definitely be back again. Always a pleasure.

Great location, great room. Great bar. But I could hear every motorbike and car driving all night, and late night revelers. Needs double or triple glazing.

A very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs was good and reasonably priced for a hotel.

It was our second visit, but I didn't like it this time.

At check-in I had to ask how to get to my room instead of being told where it was. "I wrote it down for you", said the receptionist. Who does that? Writing down a room number doesn't substitute welcoming a guest and directing them to the room.

If you're a family with children, forget about trying to relax there after putting kids to sleep. There are many very bright lights that will keep you as alert as a fleeing kid. There is ONE floor lamp in the living room that emits about zero light. So, you're got two options: being blinded by the hospital grade overhead lights or sitting in near complete darkness.

The same story in the bedroom. Trying to read without disturbing someone in the other side of the bed? Forget it. You won't be able to see anything because the side lamp is useless.

The hairdryer has a tight coil of a cord and unless you're an athlete with freakishly strong fingers, you'll spend the entire time pulling the heavy gadget over your ahead and also squeezing the handle to keep it working. I understand they try to deter people from stealing, but it was just too cheap for an "exquisite" hotel they aspire to be.

Location is great, right on the main road but far enough back that you don't get the street noise. These apartments are still new and extremely clean. The one bedroom apartments are a great size and easily large enough if you wanted to stay for a lengthy period of time. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The Avenue also provides ample parking at a great daily rate.

Currently 3 days into my stay and I can say it's been lovely. The staff have been very friendly and the hotel is close to the Center of town. I'll update this as my visit finishes (if I remember)

Room was nice. Booked a spa room specifically, but the spa was non-functional. When I advised night staff their response was "Sorry". The manager at the desk in the morning deducted my breakfast cost as I brought it up again, though it wasn't the overall experience I'd hoped for.

The room is clean. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to city. The staff are friendly and helpful. Free Wifi. Way better than expected.
