No messing around had wheels in stock got all four 4x4 wheels done and balanced. Good quality service.
Friendly staff, great customer service, quality work.
Questionable competence
I had a set of tyres fitted to my car. Even after asking for them to be inflated to 36psi after fitting, I found they'd been pumped to 45psi. Upon subsequent inspection, one of the tyres was fitted incorrectly - the clearly marked "inside" was on the outside. Seriously!
I was quoted a price for four new tyres, on pickup they charged me for a wheel alignment that was never spoke about. As I had one done a week before I didn't see it necessary but paid anyway as the tyre Price was cheap enough.
However the car no longer drove straight. after having similar issues with my partners car I decided to take it to Bob Jane who corrected this issue.
The tyres were inflated 7psi over factory recommended.
All four of my rims had gouges on the lips which I assume were from fitting the tyres.
Most of the plastic covers for the nuts looked like a screw driver was used to scraped them out.
It's ok though, the car only has 30000km on it...
Edit - after talking to other tyre shops I have discovered that most modern wheels (or possibly wheel machines) mount tyres from the back to avoid damage to the face, so that's a thing that didn't happen I guess?
Also checked wheel nuts on partners car and they were torqued beyond 180nm 10/10 would not suggest torque gun to install wheel nuts as they can damage the hub bolts causing a loss of your wheel when they snap off in extreme cases.. so thanks for that.
Worst for Car service. These guys did a marketing voucher scam as well a year ago, luckily I got my services done quickly. However, even apart from that stunt (as they complain that it was a employee scam that they had to deal with), they are pretty expensive, have charged too much for labor costs, the parts (spark plugs) which are $80 o SCA are priced at $250 or something. I had to get my Service log book stamped as they changed my regular schedule (another dirty trick) so i cudnt go to any other service shop. Good business (Y)
Horrible experience today, when I went for an inspection for car registration. The "inspector" was rude and uncouth, citing frivolous reasons for "failing" the inspection to a recently serviced car. To do the frivolous repairs recommended, he charged disproportionately to the meagre undertaking before "passing" me. I will never go to him for car-related stuff again. However, I will go to Ultratune, his neighbouring service shop for registration inspection for our other car.
I took my vehicle for a rego inspection on 4/1/2017 at Bridgestone Select Tyres-Belconnen (31 Cohen Street). They faulted me on 2 front tyres. Said I needed new tyres. Then failed my car. Then charged me $67. I paid them $67 for a "fail" inspection ! The weird thing is that they said if I bought the new tyres from them, they would not charge me again for giving my car the "Pass" status, but if I should decide to buy new tyres from another shop, they would charge me an extra $18 before they could give my car the Pass ! And guess what, their tyres are the most expensive ! Therefore I have got no choice but to have the tyres changed at another work-shop, and to bring the car back for them to pass it & to pay them an extra $18 just for their effort to see my new car tyres ! I am amazed why the RTA would allow these work shops, which are selling car components, to provide car inspection. It's a total conflict of interest. Of course they would try to fail you, so that you have to buy their products before you can get a Pass. If you don't buy their car products, you will get charged again ! What a business model ! I would raise this issue to the RTA & the ACCC. WE cannot just allow these rip-offs to happen.
