not a French restaurant at all...buger, pizza...very few choices on menu...more like AUS food...talking about service it was almost 100% self service except you dont cook yourself...you need to find waiter somehow to clean dirty table and carry dishes from reception...so dont quite understand why people said good service...pizza was good..duck was very salty and hard and dry

Buvette bistro & wine bar (located inside Hotel Realm, Barton), is easily one of my favourite restaurant options in Canberra. The French cuisine on offer is sensational-each dish executed well, showcasing the culinary skills of the kitchen team, headed by Fabien & Jun.

The fit out is great-Buvette oozes class and sophistication. Couple this this with exceptional customer service (in particular from Maria, Steve & Lewis) and you have the perfect space to celebrate special occasions-the whole team leave a lasting impression.

On to the food-the beef tartare, tuna nicoise salad & chicken liver parfait are my go to dishes, however, I also love the pan fried salmon and wagyu beef. The food is that good, you’ll want to try the whole menu. I highly recommend this establishment; it’s a culinary delight!
