Canberra has a critical mass of national security institutions, defence primes, a vibrant higher education and research sector and a diverse ecosystem of large and small firms. It is these characteristics which make Canberra an ideal environment for the cyber security industry. The Canberra Node is a partnership between AustCyber and ACT Government and is a strategic connector across government, academia and industry, set up to grow the cyber security ecosystem in the Canberra region. As a not-for-profit industry development and advocacy organisation, the Node works with businesses, government and industry leaders to pursue opportunities in the sector, in line with AustCyber's Sector Competitiveness Plan.
