About Canberra Dragon Boat Association

Canberra Dragon Boat Association (t /a Dragon Boat ACT, or DBACT) is the peak body for the sport of Dragon Boat racing in the ACT and is a member of the Australian Dragon Boat Federation. The sport was introduced to Canberra in 1990 by a few individuals keen on developing the sport and culture of dragon boats. Since its introduction to the community, Dragon Boating has become a successful sport in Canberra. Currently, DBACT operates from Lotus Bay on Lake Burley Griffin, with over 600 members across seven teams and four schools who participate in local, interstate and international events.
