We asked for a quote, they turned up in time, very friendly and gave us market competitive quote (even in compare with “free lancer tradies”), gave us valuable advices. Unfortunately something popped up on our roof and drained the budget that we couldn’t go with the quote and had to do the job by ourselves. After DIY, we still consider their quote is fair and worth to go with.

I have placed my timber floor and carpet orders to Floorworld since 2015.

Read closely the "terms of trade" contract. Here's some clauses that put me off signing:

A. If your selected product isn't available, they have the right to substitute a 'comparable' product of their choice, increase the price and halt the order or services until you 'agree' (clause 2.4(c))

B. You give Floorworld a charge over all your property/assets to secure your performance of your obligations under the contract, including payment (clause 13.1)

C. You indemnify Floorworld against all costs and disbursements, including legal costs incurred by Floorworld to exercise its rights under the contract (clause 13.2)

D. You irrevocably appoint Floorworld as your power of attorney, allowing them to perform all acts necessary to give effect to the clause, including signing documents on your behalf (clause 13.3)

E. Even though you're required to pay 90% of the contract price prior to installation, you're forced to make a credit application for the final 10% which isn't payable until after installation (makes you an unsecured creditor so if they become insolvent you can kiss your money goodbye)

So this means that if you refuse to pay the remaining 10% (for example if their installation isn't done properly), you could be up for their legal costs and they could potentially try to sell one of your assets to recoup their 10% plus any other costs they can dream up.

These terms are ludicrous and completely disproportionate to Floorworld's level of risk.

Suffice to say that we will be buying our flooring from Bunnings. The product might not be as nice but there's no unreasonable contract shoved in your face and you know that if there's a problem with the product there won't be any hassles returning it for a refund.

The installation was done by a wonderful team of men who were so fast, friendly, professional and the job looks fabulous. and they even cleaned up after themselves which was lovely

I have been waiting 8 years to re-do my floors and it has been well worth the wait. The floor looks amazing and I would highly recommend Floorworld Canberra to any of my friends, family or clients that are looking for a flooring company.

The service was very unprofessional. Communication was poor to non-existent after the bamboo flooring was installed, often we got no response to our phone calls and emails. Canberra Floorworld failed to install the stair nose (bullnose) correctly. They tried to repair their own mistakes but that was not successful. During the final attempt at repair, the installers put a hole in the wall, damaged the skirting boards and threw used nails into the garden beds. The owners of Canberra Floorworld did not even bother to look at the final attempt at repair or offer to repair the damage. I question the quality of the bamboo flooring because the surface of the flooring shattered when the installers used nails to fix it to the subfloor.
I had to give one star rating because you can not post with zero star rating.

I purchase carpet from the Mountain Chalet range, Chimney Haze. I am really happy with the workmanship, the efficiency of the installers, the quality of the carpet and also to mention the customer service and professionalism of Canberra Floorworld in Fyshwick. They were super friendly and very accommodating, I changed my mind of the carpet colour once and they were more than happy to work around my choices and preferences as I had tilers in near the same period of time. I did my research with carpet companies and found these guys really well priced compared to others. My experience was so pleasant and stress free, these guys seemed happy to answers all the questions I had and they had excellent product knowledge of their products. I am so happy with the result, everyone that walks through my house loves the carpet. Thank you for your amazing work! I will highly recommend you guys!

We chose Canberra Floorworld as it particularly seemed to specialise in timber floors and we wanted to replace the old worn carpets in our recently purchased unit. Floorworld gave us a very good price for bamboo floorboards and were very professional right from coming to assess the work, giving us an immediate quote and booking the work in all at once. The work was done promptly within a week and the young men who undertook the work worked hard to complete the job well within one day. They even accepted and signed for a parcel being delivered to us! We are delighted with the result and would highly recommend Canberra Floorworld to anyone needing s9imilar work done.

We had them sand and polish the floors and install new carpet and lino. The result is excellent. Highly recommend them.

Been to a few floor places and lets just say we've been very disappointed. We came across Canberra Floorworld and we really liked the showroom. Has so many options. Great for us to choose what we really wanted. Friendly staff and fantastic customer service. We now are enjoying our beautiful Stopped Gum Timber Floor and my husband and I will be recommending Canberra Floorworld to all our friends and family. Excellent Job!!

I chose Canberra Floorworld because several friends had satisfactorily used them for bamboo flooring installations over several years. The firm's sales rep gave me good advice on timber and bamboo flooring options prior to my decision to install Quick-Step Spotted Gum. The two installers were prompt, helpful, and thorough—and foremen/supervisors from the company came by twice during the day of installation to check progress. The finished job is excellent. I paid a market price, expecting a good job, and that is what I received. I see no reason under the circumstances not to give them 5 stars.
