Karate is an art-form which originated in Japan and is translated as the martial art of the "empty hand".
There are lots of different styles of Karate which all focus on the purpose of self defence.

Our style of karate is called Kyokushin.
Typically, a Kyokushin class will focus on fitness, conditioning, pad & bag work, flexibility and plenty rounds of sparring and tactics.
Kyokushin in translation is "the way of the ultimate truth" and is a style famous for its seriously practical self defense exercised both inside the dojo and its application at competition.

AINSLIE KARATE SCHOOL

We first opened our doors in 2009 and we have been serving the Inner North of Canberra ever since with a great reputation.

Our club is affiliated with the International Kyokushin Organisation (IKO1) in Tokyo, Japan and our club competes on the local, national and international level.

Ask us about our popular After School Program designed for parents looking for a constructive alternative to After School Care. Children are picked up from School and transported to Ainslie Karate School. They fill up on afternoon tea, have their Karate lesson and parents pickup their kids anytime before 6pm. The program runs on happy faces from the kids and fantastic feedback from the parents.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
PRIMARY SCHOOLS ONLY
Times: 3: 00pm - 6: 00pm
Operating days: Tue, Wed, Thur
* children are picked up from School and transported to Corroboree Park Hall on Paterson St.
* children are fed a nutritionally balanced afternoon tea
* karate lesson at 4: 00pm
* parents pick up children before 6: 00pm
