Canberra Metro Operations Description
Canberra Metro is a consortium consisting of Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors, John Holland, Mitsubishi Corporation, Aberdeen Infrastructure Investments, DB Engineering & Consulting (formerly Deutsche Bahn International), CAF and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Ltd (MUFG).
• The design and construction will be undertaken by CPB Contractors and John Holland working with local employees and sub-contractors.
• The on-going operations and maintenance of the network will be provided by Pacific Partnerships and John Holland in partnership with DB Engineering & Consulting.
• CAF will supply and maintain the light rail vehicles.
• Pacific Partnerships, John Holland, Mitsubishi Corporation and Aberdeen Asset Management are providing equity funding for the project.

From Thurs 19 July, the Mapleton Avenue/Manning Clark Crescent intersection at Flemington Road will be closed between 6:30pm and 4am each night, excluding Fri and Sat nights, for testing of light rail vehicles. This will continue for two weeks. More: ow.ly/Qb3m30l1cNT

On Wednesday 18 July, eight overhead wire poles will be installed in and around the intersection of the Federal Highway and Flemington Road, between Watson and Lyneham. This work will take place from 8pm to 6am and detours will be in place. More: ow.ly/evA530kZ5FP
An extension of work beyond standard working hours is required on Tuesday 17 July, from 6:00pm to 6:00am, to complete a scheduled concrete pour within Northbourne Avenue median opposite Swinden Street. ow.ly/SUdq30kXOf2
Brake testing of LRVs will be conducted along Flemington Road between Nullarbor Avenue and Mapleton Avenue. The Flemington Road-Mapleton Avenue intersection will be closed for an initial two-week period starting Thursday 19 July from 6:30pm to 4:30am. ow.ly/cbZM30kXJGt
Additional time is required to complete storm water works within the current closure of Gould-Elouera Streets intersection until Monday 30 July from 8:00pm to 6:00am each night. This extension now includes work over the two weekends starting Friday 20 July and Friday 27 July. ow.ly/f4Ic30kR9cV

Motorists travelling along Flemington Road, northbound are advised that there is no right turn into Well Station Drive due to light rail works, on Thursday 12 July from 9.30am to 4.00pm.

This week (8-14 July) LRV001 will be the main focus of testing with 10km/h runs between Gungahlin Pl and Nullarbor Ave. LRV003 will head back to the depot later this week, whilst LRV002 emerges for the first time early next week. More: ow.ly/EPmW30kSr1V

Less than 24 hours notice given on overnight construction work. I only found out thanks to a letterbox drop which I found at 7pm yesterday - no time really to get ear plugs of make alternate sleeping arrangements and I’m a light sleeper. Very distressing.
