Amazing range and very helpful staff. Truly a one stop shop for any motorcycle needs in Canberra.

This is a review of the Spare Parts and Accessories shop next door to Sales:

Very helpful staff, told me everything I needed to know about the handguards and tail pack I was looking for, staff member pointed out 30% discount to me when considering the options and price was lower than eBay or online sellers by a fair margin.

Also bought a set of engine guards from their eBay store and received the item promptly with no hassles. Very good customer service and competitive pricing.

Definitely give the parts shop a look before you buy something online.

I've bought and sold all my bikes through CMC over the last 15 years. Generally excellent customer service - friendly, flexible, and many of the staff are bike riders who are happy to offer share their experience and opinions on equipment.

Seb, Clinton, Jess and Ben are always particularly helpful, and always happy to go the extra mile.

Sure; CMC attract some criticism, but that's to be expected given the volume of business they do (and the propensity for people to only write complaints). From my experience, whenever things have gone wrong, CMC have done their best to correct the issue and apologise.

Keep up the great work guys!

Great cafe too chill while work is being done on your bike. Very extensive range of parts and gear.

This is not the first issue iv had with CMC and after today i will NOT be returning.Today myself and my partner went into CMC, i will start off saying that i am utterly disappointed and disgusted at the lack of customer service and also respect for customers. first issue is that your staff need to stop thinking their job is just a social gathering, also the customer service for items that aren't kept in store, as i think being bluntly told that we dont have the item in stock and it will have to be ordered which is fine but after that statement was said the woman serving me did nothing and just stood there. All in all if your the only dealership for particular brands of motorcycle its pretty pathetic customer service, i now will be making the trip to Sydney for the items im after and guaranteed better customer service. Which i have already been guaranteed through phone call. Also if you have a customer with a big amount of money in cheque form you pay attention to them and help them normally spend that money to purchase a brand new motorcycle not ignore them for 2 hours. If your a customer and have had the same type of issues as i have i highly suggest you to go to Kawasaki Sydney as they are by far the most professional people i have come across.

Seb was fantastic, the staff in general were rather friendly. Great place to buy a new or used bike as well as a great range of accessories.

User

One of the best placing in Canberra fir motorcycle gear and advice The staff are always willing to help and offer advice on products regardless if they carry the item or not.

Zero service - went in there for a helmet for my daughter. We were trying on helmets, looking at them, etc. Spent a good 20-25 minutes in there and not once was I approached by anyone. Although there were about 5 staff members on the floor, they were more interested in themselves. Not even a hello/goodbye. So, we walked out - you guys lost a sale! Money happily spent elsewhere.

User

Pretty horrible customer service. Be prepared to wander around for 20mins+ before a staff member approaches you. It wasn't even very busy, not very welcoming and very light on information of their own product.

User

Parts and service team are very friendly and helpful though one or two could do with a lesson in customer service and not make assumptions that a middle aged bald chemo lady wouldn't be interested in motorbikes. Bike Sales team hopeless though This place has now missed out for the third time on selling me a bike..i went elsewhere each time. I always have cash in hand and when i ask for the best price I mean it..stop playing tag games and wasting my time.

This is not a short one line 5 star review:

Canberra Motorcycle Centre (CMC) have no concept of what "Customer Service" is, let alone know how to apply it. As a disclaimer I have owned service industry related businesses in Canberra for the past 35 years, and have a pretty good idea of what customer service is and how it should be applied.

I recently bought a bike from CMC. A bike that could only be purchased as a customer order - not as showroom stock. A deposit was paid in early August 2016, the bike arrived at CMC Jan 10th 2017. The bike is lovely, but the frustration since the bike arrived at CMC has soured the "ownership experience" to the point where I have told CMC that I will not be coming back into the business, or spend another dollar in the business.

Communication between dealer and customer is non existent. Recent case in point: I ordered panniers as part of the purchase. The panniers were not available at the time of delivery (January 10th 2017), but sales staff suggested late February was the expected arrival time with the next shipment. I called today (March 6th). The panniers had arrived "sometime before I went to the Superbikes" - (Feb 25 - 26th) - according to the staff member I have been dealing with. That was a minimum of 10 days ago without even a phone call. When I phoned today it unfolds that there is a problem with the panniers - a problem that occurred when CMC were putting the panniers together. It appears they were hiding this behind not making a call at all - perhaps hoping I would forget about them?

The attitude of the staff member was classic B/S. "It's not our fault that the panniers are faulty. We were just doing you a favour by assembling them for you anyway"! Really?? "Give us your spare key and we'll see if we can fix it. We'll call you when it's done!" Really?? Customer Service guys - communications guys! 10 days without a call is customer disservice, not service.

All this comes on the back of a 21 day wait from bike arrival at CMC on Jan 10th to the Jan 31st delivery day. The bike sat on the showroom floor for 7 days looking pretty before the pre-delivery service highlighted a suspected faulty fuel pump on Jan 18th. I was phoned and informed that CMC were unable to deliver the bike as scheduled for the 19th. On Jan 23rd the fuel pump was ordered - that's 5 days wasted. On Jan 30th I chased CMC again for a delivery date, and finally it was delivered Jan 31st. The delay? Some convoluted and frankly unbelievable story about the wrong part in the correctly labeled box from the National Distributor. My suggestion of Jan 18 to replace the faulty fuel pump with one from a different model, same engine, showroom bike was finally done on Jan 30th.

In the time from Jan 10th till today I have had only two phone calls from CMC: One on Jan 13th to say come and have a look at your bike sitting on the showroom floor, and the one on Jan 18th about not being able to deliver the bike on the 19th. All other communications have been initiated by me. Poor effort, poor attitude, high levels of arrogance, poor performance all round from CMC and staff. They would not accept this level of service if they were the customer - Customer service rule #01.

Huge range, great service, the addition of the Coffee shop is brilliant. Staff are always happy to have a chat.
