Awesome prices. Best local cinema for those who don't need to pay three times the price for leather recliners (Hoyts).

Great location and good prices but does feel a bit out dated but the food has great deals for a cinema and has a great variety of movies.

Cheap cinema tickets. Older cinemas but for the ticket price and conenience, still good. Newer release movies don't screen (sell) as long as the bigger/newer cinemas but this is unlikely to be an issue for most.

Seats were too small but not too uncomfortable. Seats also way too far from the screen. You could also hear the movie from the next-door cinema which was annoying but fortunately you couldn't it when the movie started. Staff also didn't close the entry door during the movie so I had to close it. I guess you can't expect much when you're paying $10 per ticket.

Totally worth it. The cinema's might be older, but it gives it charm. Staff are nice and price are awesome. Hoytz or other one will charge you $13+ for a Toddler, but Manuka charges $0. It's only your tix you pay for and it's cheap. Best cine in town!

Old and quaint. A nice cinema. But be warned if you are visiting Canberra: just like with all the stupidity that goes on in Parliament House and this city in general, know that this cinema is not immune. We booked online for "Event Cinema". GPS brought us to a place called "Capitol Theatre" which was super dark outside and looked closed. We thought the GPS was broken. We asked 3 sets of locals where the event cinema was, and they all pointed us towards the Capitol Theatre. Not one of these looney tunes thought to mention that Event Cinemas was called a Capitol Theatre!!! And when we went inside all the branding was Greater Union!!!! Stupid, but hey that's Canberra.

Booked online. Ordered a combo but no soft drink available. Server said "It's a busy day". Choc Top tasted like defrosted and re-frozen several times. How many years have these people been doing this? You think they'd work it out. Won't come back for another 10 years.

This cinema is Canberra's oldest and I have been going there since I was a child ...the best part about going there nowadays is that the tickets are only $10 each and it is in a really great shopping precinct with fantastic shops that are unique and surrounded by great places to eat.

Good price but we went to the 9.20pm Why Him and the cinema was an absolute mess and hadnt been cleaned from the previous movie. The place was a mess with no clean seats in sight so we had to move all the rubbish and clean our chosen seats just to sit down.

Cheap. Parking is easy and no cost in evening except Friday. Surrounding area good for eating out and cafes. One of the best local shopping centres in Canberra.

Cheap ticket prices. $10 for everyone all week. Coles 60m away if you want to buy food for the movie.

Cinema seats are a little run down, you can sometimes hear some noise from adjacent screens and it is not as fresh as some big chain new cinemas but..

$10!

If you would rather spend top dollar for nicer seats then go elsewhere.
