Good little news agency

Friendly staff. Cheap use of photocopier, fax, and printer if needed. Lots of interesting items for sale including kids toys, books, jewelry and funny novelty items that are great for presents. A great range also of stationary and craft things. Plus lollies, cards, magazines and newspapers.
Anytime I need a gift for a child or adult I go here first!

Bad layout of store over cluttered

The team at Charnwood newsagency are one of the friendliest groups of people that you could ever hope to deal with. The 5 minutes I spend in there each week getting my power ball and magazines is something I look forward to because of the great atmosphere they achieve through a team that not only works well together but is more than willing to work with you and your needs. They take a genuine interest in you. Well done Charnwood Newsagency.

Was in this newsagency with my 3 yr old daughter & 14 yr old son. My daughter picked up a plastic plane & truck to show my son when I assume the female owner of the business stood by & glared then told my daughter to put the toys back. Then I came over & my daughter again picked up the same toys to show me. Then who I assume was the male owner walks by looking all stiff and starchy & tells my daughter to put the toys back where they were. I told him I had intended to buy one as well as a soft toy rabbit I was looking at but I would take my money elsewhere. He just put his hands up and kept walking. If you want to sell toys then kids will want to have a look at them from time to time. My daughter was doing nothing wrong, she was not running around, not throwing the toys, not harming them in any way, she was being completely supervised and was behaving very well. If you don't want kids to look at your toys then don't sell them. I'd understand if she was misbehaving and mistreating what she was looking at but that was not the case. We live in Charnwood so frequent the Charnwood shops, however we will never buy anything from your newsagency again. Poor form from so called adults.
