Reviews

User

Great food, nice atmosphere and fast service. Pretty reasonable pricing

User

Very average food, especially considering the inflated price. Staff were very accommodating and nice, though. The taste of the Thai food is honestly sub-par compared to other Thai restaurants in Canberra.

User

Overpriced, food was average, staff were reluctant to give extra sauce and charged us for it, and they were not happy when we asked for more water

User

Lovely restaurant in a lovely location by the water. Staff are wonderful - friendly and efficient. Although it got really busy and because we wanted a separate entrée and mains; we waited a bit for the mains to come. Or maybe I was just really, really hungry and a bit impatient. Food looks good, mildly spicy and sweet - not authentic Thai. As good as it will get in Australia/Canberra. Still good nosh!

User

One of the nicest Thai foods I have tasted. I have travelled to 8 different countries including Thailand, however no one compares to the taste.
The staff was a bit rude ( , however the manager/ supervisor (female) was great.
Lamb was uncooked but the manager handled it well.
Definitely recommending while in Canberra do try.
Keep up the good taste and quality food.

User

Love the food... the serving is good for sharing (for a Filipino)... nice place to hang out

User

Plenty of nice food for a very reasonable price.

User

Excellent food with plenty of Gluten Free options. Kid friendly.

User

Been here a few times. The food is fantastic and the service is exceptionally fast. Customer service is great also.

User

Our lunchtime table of 8 enjoyed the meal and service. A few of our party only had half hour to have lunch and staff were very obliging to get the meals out quickly. Authentic Thai food and the service was efficient and polite.

User

The dishes we ordered had hardly any flavour (eg Massaman Beef which was very watery and the meat had no flavour) and were expensive considering the questionable quality.

User

Great tasting food, smaller serving sizes than I'd like considering the price.

User

The Massaman curry was awesome and the banquet was great value. Will definitely be back!

User

Always fresh, Always tasty. Best Thai i have had in Canberra. Each time ordered it somehow gets better. Highly Recommend, 5 Stars.

User

Food might be okay, but they don't have Thai Iced Tea. We'll not be coming back.

User

The food is very good. If ur starving & need food & quick, I recommend Chong Co. The other thing, it is affordable & great value for money.

User

Cosy, little corner and private, affordable

User

Nice pad Thai and soup. Reasonable prices

User

YOU MUST TRY THE BEEF MASSAMAN IF NOT YOU HAVE NOT LIVED😂

User

Delicious food! Going off other reviews here, didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. Ordered the BBQ lamb, red curry and Thai fried rice - can't say which was one was the best, they were all amazing!

User

Other Chong Co restaurants in Canberra are great, this one is a bit lacking.

User

Perfect service n extremely delicious meals.

User

I asked for peanut free and it was delivered with peanuts. I called the restaurant and they told me I should have said 'no peanuts' instead of 'peanut free'. They said they didnt understand what I meant by peanut free. I mentioned they should have called if there was confusion. they said they did call, but I never received a missed call. They were not apologetic at all. Won't be buying from them again.

User

Not sure if under new management but the MSG made us all dizzy, use to be ok but not any more, last time I order from these guys

User

Terrible. Usally I would just eat an average meal and not purchase again. This time I had to call up for a refund and leave a review. Spring rolls were soggy and chicken pad thai tasted like fish. Satay chicken was inedible. Love thai, but not from this place. Very very poor.

User

I have a very bad experience in chong co. One of the waitress is so rude. Customer service is really bad. We used to eat in chong co. But now we will never eat there again. Guys before you go to chong co please check other thai restaurants here in canberra. Which is much cheaper much better food and specially good customer service.

User

Fast service. Yummy food. Can't fault the place always leave satisfied.

User

They still served me close to closing. The food was brought out quickly and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Oh and the food was tasty.

User

I ordered a squid garlic and pepper that does not taste like Thai food first of all and the squid is not fresh, it is frozen I presumed because it is mushy and the Tom Yum Gung was overprice for a small bowl portion and the prawn was overcook, I am assuming that they cook it in the morning and serve it throughout the day with the prawn still inside. The meat stir fry ratio was not right lots of vegetable and little meat that seems like we are living in a famine currently. Most probably will not return.

User

They still served me close to closing. The food was brought out quickly and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Of and the food was tasty.

User

Thought I had food poisoning but it was actually my appendix that became inflamed after eating here, had surgery. The food tasted great just wish they put more in each meal.

User

This place is worth reviewing for yourself. I have eaten here many times and not had a bad experience. There is another outlet in Kingston which does delivery also. Recommended the Massaman Beef Shanks.
