Friendliest ranger, nice river, too much camp fire smoke. Prepare for the cold. Nearest shopping centre around 20 mins away. Bit steep camping fees.

A great, well loved picnic area. Lots of tables, barbecues, and shelter. A nice little walk to see the dam and potter along the river. And occasionally you can spot wildlife - wombats, emus, black cockatoos.
Such a beautiful location. Great picnic site and a big playground for kids. The cool, shallow water is perfect for wading, but I'd recommend keeping your thongs or sandals on to avoid slipping on the stones. Great view of the dam too, and a nice place for a stroll. Only a short drive for a peaceful nature getaway.
