I'm sorry, but whenever I go through David jones there are always 5+ staff on the floor gas bagging amongst themselves whilst customers wander aimlessly around the store.

You'll only ever get a glance if you're over the age of 65. The shoe department in particular (sorry to those who work hard, the older staff are letting you down.)

Great Shop but need more staff

Good stock range and service.

I love David Jones , A big improvement of stock compared to previous years.
The main problem is that , they need more D.Js staff that knows there produce.
I have been in the store many time's to ask questions about an item or to pick things up that was on hold and to tell me it wasn't there (and it was). Some staff have NO idea about the products of what information that I needed to know.

Problem finding staff who will serve went through 6 staff who said they were concession staff until I could find anyone to serve me

Selection of goods is great. Some staff are very helpful, others just talk to each other and point you towards the section where your items are.

Absolutely amazing experience at Armani counter! I had a beauty consultation with Ruixian last week, she did Armani Glow on me which is so fabulous!!!! Recommend

It has 3 floors of quality brands and friendly helpful staff.

the place for upper-end brands in canberra so far. service is a bit patchy but better than average; and when it's gd, it's v gd.

Standard department store well stocked and fitted out..

Zero customer service staff look like zombies that dont smile and act like you are invisible . Apparel is average when you look closely at the stitching its not worth what they retail for. Only good part is the cosmetic section

shocked that Tissot counter refused to accept my watch for repair cos I did not buy it with them! Will certainly take it to Tissot.

Absolutely avoid this David Jones if you are looking to purchase menswear/accessories. The staff in that section (particularly a tall indian man, and an older looking man) stood around for 20 minutes talking about what they will eat for lunch, ignoring any customer dressed in less than a suit and tie. Even if you are obviously waiting for assistance and making eye contact from afar, they just look down upon you and ignore you, even if you approach them- disgusting attitudes, some of the WORST I have ever come across in retail. Go to Woden instead- staff there were incredibly more helpful and friendly. I will add that every other staff member in other sections in the Civic David Jones was polite and would greet you and ask if you needed help.
