Doug Gorrel Racing is based in Canberra, Australia at Thoroughbred Park.

Doug Gorrel started his racing stable in early 2016 at Thoroughbred Park, Canberra. His first winner came at Cowra with bonny mare Liabilityadjuster.

Doug had previously worked with some of Canberra's stables and has had a lifelong love of racing - as a mug punter, bookies' clerk, racehorse owner, racing journalist, jockey manager and owner-trainer.

But Doug most enjoys conditioning horses for others - as there is no greater thrill in racing than sharing in a win with owners - who invariably are, or become, lifelong friends, or family.
