Early Morning Centre

The Early Morning Centre is a safe, respectful and welcoming space, addressing issues of homelessness. We provide food, facilities, support and community activities. We serve a free hot breakfast weekdays from 7. 30am to 8. 30am. We then reopen from 9. 00am.

The Early Morning Centre is a community hub supporting Canberra people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness or social isolation. We are located at 69 Northbourne Ave and open Monday to Friday (not open on public holidays) 7. 30am to 8. 30 am for breakfast and Community Hub hours are 9am till 2. 00 pm Monday to Friday. Each Breakfast a hot, healthy meal is served to the table and the Community Hub provides a range of services that include: tea /coffee, computer access, phone access, showers, laundry, mail service and much more. The Community Hub also provides access to a range of local community services with Street Law, CentreLink and OneLink providing their services from the Early Morning Centre each Tuesday and Wednesday a medical clinic is available. There are no prior bookings required for these services, people just need to turn up on the day and put their name on the list.
