Super nice and friendly.
I had unresolved issue with the visa section in Consulate of Japan in Sydney (the Consulate in Sydney actually gave me a really bad impression about Japanese people).
The lady from visa section in the embassy is very friendly, indeed, she called me twice to follow up with my question.
The embassy gave me the good impression about Japan and this encourages me to visit Japan.
Thanks alot

The correct entry for the public is located directly opposite the Royal Thai Embassy on Empire Circuit. The entry on Schlich Street is for embassy staff only.

The staff are helpful and efficient. They are bilingual and can easily understand English. Depending on the staff member, they can also speak fluent Mandarin. Just make sure you bring adequate ID and fill out all paperwork thoroughly as you would with any other embassy.

Not sure about the atrocity comments. People should brush up on the Treaty of Westphalia and realise we don't interfere with the domestic affairs of other states. If you want to contribute and change the affairs of Japan, then become a Japanese citizen.

Hard to rate an embassy whose government applauds the mass slaughter of dolphins and whales.

The continuing horror of Taiji continues to expose the astounding arrogance of the Japanese government, Japanese media and the Japanese people.

I am thoroughly sick and tired of this politically correct mantra that the Japanese people are not to blame and that we should not think ill of Japan because of this on-going bloody obscenity perpetuated by a gang of murderous thugs in Taiji.

I am also sick and tired of accusations of racism every time someone speaks up for the dolphins and each and every time we condemn the relentlessly cruel slaughter of these gentle, intelligent, self-aware, socially complex sentient marine beings.

Blood is flowing in the Cove and the eyes and ears of the Japanese people remain blind to the steaming blood in their own waters. Dolphins are screaming in the Cove and the ears of the Japanese people remain deaf to these vicious atrocities.

I spent 6 years in Japan and loved it. I had no idea just how cruel these people could be. I'm afraid I will never be able to return as long as this atrocity continues.
