Garry Mills Peak Performance Description

Garry’s philosophy is simple. Share the stuff he’s learned and lived to help as many people as he can. He achieves this as a recognised consultant, facilitator, coach, presenter, speaker and MC. Garry has been described as calm, open and genuine. He creates space for people to contribute, reflect, share and clarify. Garry’s style is interactive and relaxed with humour, helping people feel at ease to ask questions and interact freely.

A snapshot of Garry’s life demonstrates his diversity and willingness to shake things up, learn from mistakes and challenge his limits. He has held accountability for planning and achieving complex operations in Australia and overseas. His background includes public service executive, police officer, training manager, Prime Minister’s bodyguard, Team Australia athlete in a European reality TV competition, jackaroo, screen actor, radio presenter, and Ironman triathlete.

We live in a volatile, uncertain, ambiguous and complex world. As a result we may feel overwhelmed and highly stressed, our thoughts confused or negative, emotions out of control, our brains and bodies exhausted. Our judgement, decision-making, relationships, empathy and overall performance is impaired. Our health and wellbeing suffer.

Garry facilitates and coaches neurobiology-based personal leadership & wellbeing programs, essential for future-proofing our individual and collective peak performance. Neuroleadership transforms our organisations and communities from somewhere many people are just surviving, to places where we can thrive.
Garry is a member of Beyond Blue’s Ambassador and Speaker Bureau, sharing his story to increase awareness and understanding of anxiety and depression in Australia, and to reduce the associated stigma.
