Car had damaged lifter which damaged the cam...they said wverything in engine was ruined....10.000$ for engine rebuild or just upgrad engine to ls3 for same price 10.000...the damage on lifter was minimum and they have not even opened the bottom end telling me its wrecked...the funnier part was one of them told me the heads were unusable and the other guy told me the heads were fine...so i immediately realised not to trust them, took the car to my local mechanic costed me 2000$ for aftermarket cam kit,guides,cam bearings and gaskets and he checked everything and told me the engine was fine...they normally damage lifters and cams.

So for 3000$ now my cars running again and not 10.000$ eventhough it needs a dyno tune...

Do not trust these guys to tell you the complete truth, they will exaggerate and mix lies with truth and build you a merky problem that usually comes with huge price tag.

They pointed out another car that had same issue as mine and the guy couldnt afford to fix the car so he was going to sell it......"and they were trying to find someone to buy it" 😂

Stay away from them if your not made of money.

Had an exhaust fitted, wires were not secured properly and melted, Great service until you hand over the cash, everything after that is your fault.

Absolutely appalled. Spent $9k to get a custom cam package and heads done. First custom tune kept coughing and splattering every time I put my foot done so took it back and blamed it on spark plug leads so was charged an additional $160. Still doing it so took it back for another tune, somehow got extra 16kw gain but made a mess of my gear settings and ran it so rich that i took it elsewhere to find out the new cats I had gentech installed had collapsed within 2 months, the new workshop also put it on the dyno and read 50+ kW less then the dyno read out from gentech! Unless u want walkinshaw pre loaded tune I strongly recommend NOT going to gentech.

Warning they will replace parts that are not faulty!!! my car was taken to a different mechanic when power steering failed, they sent it to gentech after confirming that the steering pump was fine, therefore possible computer fault in which they don't fix.
Gentech replaced my steering pump and charged me $700 for it, just the part not labor, all up $1300 to fix the power steering! Fault codes deleted so no evidence of what was wrong, and pump changed for no reason.

The best mechanics in Canberra. I purchased a used FPV F6 in November 2014. The car had a faulty transmission (which Ford Belconnen and Ultra Tune failed to notice in a pre purchase inspection). I took the car to Gen-Tech and Kit had my transmission rebuilt, installed a trans-cooler and had the car flash tuned. It now goes like an absolute rocket and feels brand new. Kit and Gen-Tech live up to the hype. I will never take my car anywhere else. Kit even managed to save me a few dollars along the way. Kit's customer service is exceptional as well. He would respond to my emails within a few hours and always made me feel welcome when I contacted him. If you have an FPV, Kit and Gen-Tech are the only guys you should take your car to. They take pride in their work and it shows.
