Treat you like a criminal for asking for a medical certificate. Don't seem to understand what a cold is and why someone with a cold shouldn't go to work. And charge you $25 for the privilege, and a signed piece of paper.

Here's the deal, people. I'm pretty lenient when it comes to reviews. I understand the struggles of running a business, making ends meet, the overheads and pressures experienced in this fickle economy. So it pains me to vent my pent-up, repressed rage in public like this, but the Guardian Pharmacy in Belconnen left me with no choice.

Each month our family gets some prescriptions filled at the Chemist Warehouse in Fyshwick, that costs around $50 in total. No concessions, generic substitutions if available, happy days. However this month I thought I would duck over to the Belconnen Mall during lunch and get the prescriptions filled there. Mistake. Total cost for the same products at the Guardian Pharmacy? $101.64! (I added the cents for impact).

Now I'm not the kind of penny-pinching tight-wad that drives twenty miles to save 2c per litre on fuel or anything, so I was willing to concede this deviation from my regular pharmacy may have cost a little more than usual, but twice as much for the exact same products?! Is this placed staffed by virgin goddesses from the planet Nibiru? Are the medicines mixed with unicorn tears?

The least they could've done was take me out to dinner first and provide a free, post-date tube of Anusol to ease the pain of having my cloaca reamed.
