The strong fan enthusiasm for Buffy and Firefly created an amazing atmosphere at the Trivia Nights this month :) :)
Congratulations to our winners! At the Buffy Trivia we were graced by ABC Hard Quiz contestant from Season 2 Episode 13, Sarah who led her team to victory! 1st place on 40 pts were "Are we having a chair shortage!", 2nd place on 37 pts were "Dingos ate my baby!", and in 3rd place on 34pts was "LozSlayer9"!
Firefly Trivia was exciting with a singoff of the song... 'The Hero of Canton' as a 3rd place tie-breaker! In 1st place on 39pts "I swallowed the bug", in 2nd place on 37pts "Shiny", and in 3rd place on 36pts "Shiny Geese jugglers"
Congrats to "There's a party in my eye socket and everyone is invited" and "We had a name and Fox cancelled it" as winners of the drawing competitions! Drinks on the house for the artists!

We wanted to give a very big shout out to every single GAMMA.CON volunteer. You made us and every attendee feel welcome and put on a tremendous show. Not many people would know this but the organisers who themselves are volunteers work tirelessly all year round to make it happen! You guys are amazing!!
Thank you to the photographers Tony and Dave Cosplay Photographers and Pics X Peter for also providing the free photography services. And of course we wanted to recognise the ...amazing effort ever single cosplayer puts in. It makes the con very special!
It takes a little bit of time to process all the RAW images, but you will see bursts of all the cosplay photography and other pictures from the event coming out as a collab album with GAMMA.CON, the Photographers and us. We will be sure to share them too when it happens :) :)
Already looking forward to next year :)

Kobolds, Zombies and Wererats were all slain as players jumped into the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

With the success of the night, we hope to make these Learn to Play events a quarterly event. Maybe delving into other RPG systems too.

It burns me to write a scathing review, but I'm afraid our Sunday night experience was absolutely abysmal. Extremely slow service from the get go. We were constantly trying to get the attention of one of the wait team. It took over an hour from sit down to get table water. Our food (other than the wedges - which were not even slightly spicy but I digress - they were a welcome sight when they finally made their way to the table); our food on a whole was sub-par what with flavourless risotto mush and burnt pizzas taking well over an hour to come out of the kitchen without so much as an apology. It was all very mediocre - and still cost us nearly $100 for two. Our party is in no rush to return I'm afraid.
