Harem Turkish Restaurant (Permanently Closed)

The food is OK and that's where it ends.

Service is extremely slow with no time to explain the menu or anything else. Mucked up the order even though it was repeated by us and the waiter and our entrée was forgotten. Apparently the initial order is painstakingly rewritten neatly onto another docket. No computerisation here.

No followups during the meal to see if we wanted anything else or more drinks. Left finished dishes on the end of the table in the hope they would attract the attention of the staff to clear the table and ask about desserts and coffee.

Alas we gave up waiting and trying to get someone's attention so we paid up and went around the corner to Jones & Co for coffee & dessert.

Best option if after Turkish food is to look elsewhere.

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to recommend this restaurant and I won't be going back anytime soon.

Very overpriced for the quantity and quality of food.

Best food in Canberra - and the people are just as lovely

Beautiful meals that come out quick . Great service lovely to have a chat to . Old style setting which creates a welcoming space . 5 stars !
