I definitely find it easier learning from a book or sheet of paper rather than a screen πŸ’»Our brains are not yet developed to read information and be exposed to blue light from a screen at the same time 🧠
Even though screens make things much more accessible and can be more cost effective it does come at a cost.

Hands-on sensory based food education sessions are a great way to get kids to become more accustomed to different foods. These sessions get kids to smell. touch and taste foods to make it fun and interesting :)

Now that it is getting warmer smoothies are back on the menu!!! Although I love smoothies so much that I still had them over winter!
One of my favourite smoothies is a berry based smoothie! I really love this recipe for 2 reasons. 1 - the addition of tahini is amazing! 2- Using zucchini instead of banana makes it more low carb (however feel free to use banana if you would like - it tastes amazing!)

Last night Eva and Alana headed off to the AIS for the Dr Libby "The hormone factor" seminar πŸ‘©β€πŸ’Ό
We learnt so much in regards to womens homrones and how they not only work but how things in our daily life affect them! So many women are affected by hormonal imbalances and this then has such broad affects on our overall health.
Some of the take home lessons we learnt were: ... πŸ”Έ Stress has a huge affect on our sex hormones πŸ”Έ The liver is the main organ which detoxifies our hormones. Therefore we should be doing things to help our liver such as eating lots of veggies and drinking plenty of water. πŸ”Έ Anytime you consume caffeine you are stimulating the release of adrenaline. Maybe it's time to do a caffeine detox? πŸ”Έ Many women are either estrogen dominant or progesterone deficient πŸ”Έ The average Australian does NOT get their recommended 5 serves of vegetables daily πŸ”Έ Hormones are crucial for the overall functioning of our body!!
