Hertz Canberra Downtown Mantra Hotel

Booked a car. Had to postpone twice, once because I was ill. Modified my booking online, received confirmation and reminders for date time and location. Upon arrival there was no car for me. I was put through to a local Hertz depot who had no record of my reservation, only a record from the previous week. Talked to bookings. They rebooked told me to go back to the pickup location where there was supposed to be a car. Still no car. Spoke to another Hertz person and said that it would be a 2 hour wait for a car and that I would need another form of evidence for where I live. Plus a $500 deposit as a first time customer (something that was never requested previously) I gave up after that. my phone died while I was on hold to them so made things harder. Just wasn't meant to be.

Walked passed it so can't comment

So difficult to find the place and no one answered my phone calls.
Update: changed to 1-star cuz I was charged for not returning in time. But I DEFINITELY did that in time. If you need to drop off here, note there won't be any real-time processing and you will be asked to fill a form at the hotel reception. Do remember to keep a photo proof in case they charge you for late returning 😂 worst car rental experience ever.
