Hog'S Australia'S Steakhouse Woden

It was quite busy and noisy on our visit, food didn't take too long. Enjoyed my burger but there was too little filling to bun ratio.

Decided to dine here before a movie as they were promoting a lobster and steak special. The order took ages, the place was so noisy no one could talk and the staff, although pleasant, forgot drinks and sometimes ignored us. They all seemed young, inexperienced and haphazard. As for the food, unfortunately it was terrible. My half lobster consisted of two small bites on a fork and that was it for lobster meat. My steak, requested medium rare, was soft and gray and the fries were barely warm. The only enjoyable thing was the Caesar salad on the side. I feel sorry for the waitress who asked how the food was.

Very friendly and understanding staff. We didn't end up eating there but they served us drinks, organised the tables to suit the 8 of us and were both welcoming when we came in and understanding when the majority in the group decided they wanted to try somewhere else.

Arrived on Saturday evening with no booking - restaurant was very busy. Staff seated us about 5 minutes after we arrived. Steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. Great meal, great staff.

Casual dining with a friendly atmosphere. Good reliable steakhouse menu with some decent fish and chicken choices for those who don't feel like steak & some new "lite" options & salads for the diet-conscious. Portions are generous so only the very hungry should plan on a full 3 courses - and be prepared to share your dessert.
$10 lunches are great value and can be ordered in advance.

food was good. much quieter background noise at lunch times. table needed a wipe down as it was very sticky.
