How often have you written off a workout as being “not hard enough” or a waste of time if you aren’t sore for days afterwards?
Depending on your phase of training muscle soreness can be both a good and a bad thing- an indicator as to your recovery, or in the instance of aching muscles for days on end, inability to recover.
There are more ways than one to measure the value of a workout such as progression, increased volume or complexity for skills.

We like to work smart before we work hard- at Hybrid that means learning, practicing and mastering the basics before worrying too much about load and intensity.

Mid challenge updates- these photos are from the 8 week mark in our challenge (currently in week 10).
Safe to say so far we are both pretty chuffed with the progress.
As we have said from the beginning the focus has been on good weeks rather than simply good days without anything too drastic be it good or training related.
... For the next 8 weeks we are upping the intensity a little now that a good foundation is set to see what is really possible- looking forward to seeing what changes (mainly hair length 😂😂) over the next 8 weeks.
